Husky Energy Inc. announced today it will buy $860 million worth of oil and natural gas assets in Alberta and northeast British Columbia – acquisitions that will bolster the company's daily production by the equivalent of 33,000 barrels of oil.“The initiatives announced today represent the culmination of significant effort and focus to bring forward major projects that will create sustainable shareholder value over the near, mid and long term,” Husky CEO Asim Ghosh said in a statement. “Together, they are a statement of confidence in our business and in the tremendous growth opportunities in our portfolio.”
