The BP-led group in Azerbaijan plans to build a new gas pipeline boosting the country's gas export capacity to 24 billion cubic meters (bcm) from 8 bcm per year by 2017, it said on Tuesday."We plan to build a new gas pipeline with a capacity of 16 billion cubic meters per year in addition to the current 8.0 billion cubic meters," BP-Azerbaijan President Rashid Jevanshir told a news conference. "This is necessary for gas export under full-scale production at Shah Deniz," he said.
