Norwegian operator DNO has hit hydrocarbons in the Gabdain-1 basement exploration well on Block 72, in Yemen. The well was drilled to a total depth of 3485 metres and DNO said hydrocarbons were observed while drilling through the Kohlan sandstone overlaying the basement interval.
