Oilsands giant Suncor Energy Inc. has been ordered to pay $200,000 after pleading guilty to two violations of the federal Fisheries Act for the deposit of a "deleterious substance" into a northern Alberta river.The charges stem from incidents that occurred between June and August 2008 due to road construction north of Fort McMurray, Alta., near the Steepbank River, said Environment Canada.
