Inland barge operator Kirby to buy coastal barge operator K-Sea

Kirby Corp. agreed to acquire K-Sea Transportation Partners LP, an operator of seagoing barges, for $335 million.
Kirby operates barges that ply the Mississippi River and other inland waterways. Both companies transport oil and other fuels.
