The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has approved applications to drill two exploration wells in the Norwegian and North seas. Nexen Exploration Norge is cleared to drill well 6507/8-8 in Norwegian Sea license PL 434, using the semisubmersible Songa Delta.
