Noble Energy Inc. said it will “most likely” leave Ecuador rather than submit to contract changes intended to increase the government’s share of profits from oil and natural-gas wells.
Noble “has been in discussions with the state on the future of the assets which most likely will lead” to the exit, David Larson, a spokesman for Houston-based Noble, said in an e- mailed statement today.
